Terms of Service

Hey, Future Humans is a single, finite public archive. A fixed number of numbered spots exist — 1,000,000 in total — and no more will ever be created. By claiming a spot you add a short message and a hand-drawn mark to that public record, numbered by the order your payment is confirmed.

Permanence is the point of this project. Once your payment confirms and your number is assigned, your entry is sealed: it is shown publicly, it cannot be edited, and you cannot delete it yourself. Please read your message and mark carefully before you pay. If you are not comfortable with something being permanent and public, do not submit it.

To keep the record something people are glad to be part of, you agree not to submit:

• — slurs, hate, harassment, or threats;
• — spam, advertising, or links;
• — content that is illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• — personal information about other people without their consent;
• — anything generated by a machine in place of your own hand and voice.

We filter submissions and review reports. We may remove any entry that breaks these terms. When an entry is removed, its number is burned — retired, never reassigned — so the total count stays honest. Removal for a violation does not entitle you to a refund.

We intend to keep this archive online and maintained for the long term, and we will treat that as a real commitment. But we are honest people, not fortune-tellers: we cannot literally guarantee eternity, and we will not pretend to. What we promise is to act in good faith to preserve the record, to give clear notice if anything material ever changes, and never to quietly resell or dilute the supply.

Your words and your mark remain yours. By submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, store, and reproduce your entry as part of the public archive and its share cards. You confirm the content is your own and that you are old enough to enter into this agreement.

Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see your full card details. The price of a spot rises as the archive fills, shown to you before you pay. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your spot. These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction. We may update them; if we make a material change, we will note it here and date it.
